Synopsis
The producers who brought you the sell-out season of The Phantom of the Opera return with a superb international production of CATS, starring one of theatre’s finest performers, Delia Hannah!
CATS is quite simply a phenomenon. With magnificent music composed by the legendary Andrew Lloyd Webber, including the poignant hit song “Memory”, an imaginative set, inspired choreography and stunning costumes, CATS is a brilliant song and dance spectacular not to be missed as it makes a triumphant return to Singapore.
CATS is the best-known and best-loved musical the world has ever known, holding the record of the longest-running musical in West End history having played for 21 years. In addition CATS played 18 years on Broadway and has been presented in over twenty-six countries, in about three hundred cities, in ten languages.
CATS first opened in London in May 1981 to rave reviews and went on to win a record-breaking number of awards worldwide including two Olivier Awards for ‘Musical of the Year’ and ‘Outstanding Achievement of the Year in Musicals’, and seven Tony Awards.

I was sitting towards the back row also..
I wonder when will Phantom of the Opera and Les Miserables be coming to Singapore...really want to watch these two...
i utterly enjoyed it!!!!!
during break time, i heard some students say that they don't know what is going on. i wanted to tell them that they've got to get the CDs first and appreciate the lyrics. the words and music will just grab you. then when you watch it live, you will be like seeing an old friend.
the cast is fabulous. they could sing professionally, dance professionally and do acrobatics. they are GENIUS!!!!!!!!! So talented!!!!!!!!!! They are really special gifted people from God!!!!!!!!! How come I am not one of them!?!! So cool you know!!!!!!
(Wow imagine Hugh Jackman is exactly such a talent)
i love rum tum tugger too!!!
he's so SEXY, 潇洒 and æœ‰æ€§æ ¼ woots
our stage is really small. i remember the stage in the theatre in london was at least double in size. so we play cleverly with lightings to overcome our shortcoming. it textualises our stage and enriches the setting.
i liked the train scene, and also how they used 1 naked light to bring out the point that McCavity was not there woots...
Got 2 songs i haven't heard b4, andrew llyord webber must have remade them
overall, 太棒了
hee. goot. mi ish lookin forwardz!

CATS is basically...about cats =P Haha...you should read this book by T.S. Elliot to get an idea of what it is about cos the musical is based on this book: Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats
I know Phantom of the Opera came in year 2007...I missed it by two years! :( Dunno when they will be coming again sigh...hopefully wun take as long as the CATS cast...only came back after 15 years!

A New Zealand cast! Interesting, I assumed it would be an Australian touring cast :)
And Gosh, Cats ranks as one of my least favourite musicals ever...perhaps the TS Elliot book was passable but gosh the musical was complete and utter rubbish. Thought it tried to go the "spiritually uplifting" route by incorporating the Biblical tribes theme, but man, what a debacle.
If any of Lloydy musicals do come soon, I hope its EVITAAAAAA!
