Old buses sent to workshop for inspection, says SMRT
SMRT has sent two buses to the workshop for inspection following STOMPerJustice Bao's complaint that the bus he travelled in was worn out and uncomfortable.
In an earlier posting, this STOMPer had stated that the windows of the bus that he was travelling in looked worn out and the air-con was not working.
In an email to STOMP(Nov 16), SMRT says:
"We contacted the STOMPer for more information so that we can investigate further.
"As the STOMPer was unable to recall the date of his journey, we were only able to narrow our investigation to a range of dates based on his CEPAS card number, and arranged for two buses to be sent to the workshop for inspection.
"We thank the STOMPer for providing his feedback, and would like to take this opportunity to request that passengers provide us with details (date, time, licence plate number and direction of travel) for our investigations in future."I guess all bus lovers must be happy after hearing this new. -
