'Can afford to buy car but don't want to pay for parking'STOMPer Idiotic Brain spotted these cars parked on the grass patch near Cluny Park and feels that it's ridiculous that the owners can affored a car, yet can't afford parking fees.
Says the STOMPer:
"This picture was taken at the entrance (Cluny Park gate) to the Botanic Gardens and there is a barrier arm at the entrance to ensure that all motorists pay with their cash card before entry. Parking is charged by the hour.
"These owners of big cars could afford to buy the expensive cars which is the envy of the average Singaporean. However to save a few cents on parking, these owners chose to park on the grass patch near Cluny Park which is free.
"You can see bald patches on the immaculate turf.
"I hope the traffic police will visit this area (Cluny Park Road) and stop these motorists who are trying to evade paying the parking fee.
"They feel the pain to pay parking fee each time they visit the Botanic Gardens!"For all u know, fences are going to be erected soon.
