If the route is extended to Clarke Quay, then the thread title should be [openBVE] North East Line [NEB : OTP to CLQ]

Ok... No stress lah.
Bad News!!!
My computer was recently wiped out by a virus, and therefore, some of my more recent files are gone!(That includes the NEL file!)
Luckily however, I backed-up a previous BETA version in my hard drive.

OMG. What did you download into your com?

Antivirus does not really anti virus. Antivirus software needs to be updated regularly to check against codes with malicious intent. Some virus love to hide themselves so much so that antivirus kills the superifical one and it generates another one. For me, I dont use antivirus now and if I do [And i did before] kena virus, very soon I will reformat it as the safest precaution.
Anyway, Antivirus or so does not come cheap [Lucky got a few free ones but there again, free or paid are still 'same'] and they are same in the sense of lagging a computer as they monitor it closely [One of the optimization tip is to disable Internet Security / Antivirus when one is completely offline, meaning no / not using Internet access at all and very sure of the content they use for CD - DVD / portable - USB hard / thumb drive and such.]
Anyway, how can I help now? Kind of lost.

This is not like hope to strike 4D / Toto thing where it comes by a random chance. This virus attacks can and will only minimized when you are equipped with the knowledge on how do they spread (Just dont run / open anything you dont know and you are safe) and how to deal with it if such things happens [Which is damn unavoidable, unless you are a Mac / Linux etc alternative OS to Windows where viruses are rare, but theoritically possible with few examples].
One thing to note is that openBVE do run on these alternative OS too, but without plugin support until the recent development 1.29.X is released in public (Non development) as they are going to change the plugin to become .NET platform and all these alternate OS can use mono to run them. So you dont miss BVE if you depart Windows.
The other thing to note is try not to use Administrator on Windows [Unless you know what you are doing]. Talking is easy, but seriously, my Windows 7 account is an admin. Well, if XP, chances are using Limited / Non-admin is that certain basic things dont run [As part of Windows traditon] but virus usually also cannot run, system is 'safe' and hence nobody in the right mind will NOT use non-Admins, except coporate environment in office or school etc. For Vista or above, Admin is pretty ok because under default setting, you are gonna to be prompted in UAC, so at least you get notified on what is something trying to do. [And of course you must be alert]

O_O ok!
Hi, I got a Punggol Terminating announcement. What more announcements on NEL u need?
Originally posted by sni1996:No anti-virus software installed? Better be careful next time :P
I have.....but the trouble is that the 'virus' managed to block ALL applications on my computer, including the anti-virus. Luckily I was able to reverse the damage by restoring it to an earlier date.

I backed-up the latest C751A, so it isn't affected
If you need an anti-virus software, download AVG 2011 free edition. It's free and good! (Sorry Off Topic)
Back to topic. So after the virus thingy, how many % are you at now? I hope about 55%?
