Oh, I'll keep that in mind when creating newer routes.
Originally posted by Samuel Lee:Look, in pure Singapore lines, the North East Line, got all 4 languages announcements for the "Please mind the platform gap" and English + Chinese for the station announcements (Excluding the Interchange details), so your point is invalid.
And whatsmore is that Nickgoh45 is creating a Harbourvale line, a fusion of Singapore MRT, London Underground / Tube (University station) , New York Subway (Blackton Junction etc), Hong Kong MTR (University station again --- it is used in both subway systems ---- noted by joeyfjj and Central station) etc.......
So, we must take that into consideration. In short YOUR POINT IS INVALID.
Final verdict: Keep as much language announcements as possible.
Yes, I meant it something like that.
Notice: HarbourvaleBVE has been temporarily shut down due to an exceed in bandwidth limits. I advise everyone not to visit the website before the bandwidth meter gets reset. The bandwidth meter will be reset on 28th May.

How about borrowing a domain bvesg.co.cc from joeyfjj, and then use Google Sites to host your website? Hopefully that will deter such incidents again.
So the annoucement is mulitlanguage or not.
1st, you said you will keep in mind on having English annoucement.
Then you agree in Samuel post for having mulit-language annoucement.

Possibly the existing lines are multi-language and the newer lines are English?
Well, for me, I always agree on multi-language, based on practical constraints (There are approximately 6800 languages, excluding some of them are not used in speechs such as hand signs for the deaf and those that are on the way to extinction, the rest are mainly certain dialects of a parent language. Excluding all these, that should left about several hundreds of languages left. However, it is common sense not to include all / most of them as the usage is way too low. So, in short, it is advisible to have multi-language announcements based on practicalbility, and it should have no more than 3 ~ 5 languages based on the needs in Harbourvale and it is widely expected should have English, Chinese and possibly Malay / Tamil based on platform gap and if you want, Cantonese so as to see the fusion of HK MTR. But it might be too long announcement liao.)

I already asked joeyfjj, joeyfjj hasn't replied yet...

Yes, since I already released the update, I won't be changing it. The future lines will only have English announcements.
Can post video of the whole route using C751B?
Nick, your request for the domain, go see your mailbox.
Mod edit: Are you sure is teh or "the"?

Maybe he is asking for your permission to use your route to make a video with a C751B. He does not looked to me asking / requesting you to do a C751B video. But thanks to pointing out C751B's potential issue.

Woops... Misread the "Can post video...." as "Can you post video"...
So anyway, replying to SMRT/SBS Transit, yeah sure, I'll be more than glad to have you make videos!
Okay, so everyone, my new website is finally more or less done... It's HarbourvaleBVE. And, I'm sort of needing suggestions for names of MRT stations on the Kegstone Line. The criteria is that it must not sound "Singlishy" and cannot be too similar to existing MRT station names.

Farquar (or how it's spelt, I don't care anyway)
Maple (it's pretty unoriginal)
North Point (HKMTR, or Yishun that North Point)
Goh Keng Swee (/random)

Stations called "Kegstone North" and "Kegstone South"? =D

This seems to make sense, but I've been repeating station names over and over again. For example, Harbourvale (HL1), Harbourvale Airport (AE3), Harbourvale Highway (HL12), Harbourvale Line (As in the line itself), Harbourvale Residential District and Harbourvale City. Also repeating are words like "Harbour", "Blackton", "River"... etc.

KG5/HL8 Kegstone Junction
KG6 Kegstone South
KG7 Blackmore [Bukit Timah KTM station is located at Blackmore Drive]
KG8 Five Ways [1 station south of Birmingham New Street, UK]

Harbourvale Highway could be simplified to Highway... and Harbourvale Airport can be changed to Airport...

No -- KG7 is used in Downtown Line as working name, the now King Albert Park.

If you notice, those names I used are related to milestones in the history of Rapid Transit.

yes.
