Hi, as topic implies, which filming device is best for use in train filming / collect pictures or videos for BVE purpose? It would be greatly appreciated if the price range is stated.

FOR BVE
Digital Camera - Price: From < $100
Camcorder - Price: From $100+
HP - Price: Varies
For videos, CCD is ranked number 1, followed by the DC.
For pictures, DC is ranked number 1, followed by either CCD or HP (If it captures high quality pics)
Of course, the lower the price, the lower the quality of the pic/ vid.
FROM BVE
Hypercam / Fraps - Price: Freeware

it means cost of the thing.
My HP takes pictures at high quality if choose the higher resolution size. But no zoom if using the high resolution size. The picture below is taken with my HP. (Sony Ericsson K750i)

If you don't believe me, then you go see the EXIF data.

My Omnia does it quite well at night: http://i747.photobucket.com/albums/xx120/joeyfjj/SNC00002.jpg... Put it on a higher ISO setting and/or select Night mode.

Get one with a memory card slot that makes it easy to remove the card. In case the staff tells you to delete it. =D

BTW, this handphone also have flashlight. If use in camera, it acts like the "flash" used in DCs. Very cool.
