Chanting Event At Singapore Expo (Amituofo Sutra)

  Please refer to the following link for the chanting event at Singapore Expo. Chanting Amituofo Sutra. Chant the sutra ourselves when we are still well and alive. It is more effective than someone chanting for you.

  I believe there are no more vacancies for the event on Friday and Saturday. Please go on Sunday as it does not require any registration for the event on Sunday.

  6/7 of merits will benefit the person who chant and 1/7 of the merits will passed to the person you want to transfer the merits. So in order to trfr 1 whole sutra of merits to a person, u need to read 7 times.

  Yes, you are correct. So the best is chant the sutra by ourselves and chant it while we are well and alive.

  Hi Dawn....i know it must have been a tiring yet a very fulfilling weekend for u..

  any observations or thoughts u have from this chanting event? Seems like there are several chants sessions at different areas...in somewhat different modes such as those at Jalan Besar to that of Geylang side or even at the Expo....wonder why is this so?...

  do u belong to the ABC clan?...

  Yes, tiring but fulfilling. This year seemed to have more people than last year. Yeah, I am a Amitabha Pureland practitioner. There are many dharma doors, ABC belongs to Amitabha Pureland practice. I think many Buddhists in Singapore are Pureland practitioners.
