Amitabha Buddha is praised by Sakyamuni Buddha , all Buddhas and all Bodhisattvas. Just by reciting the name Amitabha, one will have a fulfilling and long life, able to remove karmic obstructions and relieve suffering. The name Amitabha is also known as Infinite Light & Infinite Life and according to Sakyamuni Buddha , Amitabha represents Supreme Brightness & Leader of all Buddhas.

Relying on our own (self) power to liberate from the cycle of life and death is difficult. Relying on Buddha’s power to liberate from the cycle of life and death is easy. Everyone who has a heart (willing mind), would be able to chant the Buddha’s name and surely be reborn in the world of Utmost Bliss. Buddha’s power refers to Amituofo great compassionate vows to bless, to receive and to guide all sentient beings to His PureLand. Own (self) power has two meanings. One is not relying on Buddha’s power but base on one’s cultivation in the precepts, concentration and wisdom. However in this Dharma ending period, it is impossible for us as lay people to cultivate to attain the result by relying on our own power.
