Questions on reciting Sutras

  I recite Hear Sutra everyday. Must I think of the meaning when I read or let the meaning come naturally to me ?

  By right, sutra recitation should be kept separate from contemplation of its meaning.

  So I divide it into 2 sessions. One simply chanting, one for pondering or comtempating for the meaning. Thanks for your help. I read heart sutra many times per day.

  How do we know we attain single pointedness of Chanting Namo AMTF ?

  single pointedness of Chanting Namo AMTF got two type:-

  one is base on phenomena事 ä¸€å¿ƒ  and the other base on Noumena ç�†ä¸€å¿ƒ.

  single pointedness base on Noumena �一心�乱 is equal to 明心�性 of the ch'an school.
