Do you know your way around Singapore? Want to make some new friends from Australia?
I going to tell you how you can make some extra cash in hand for six hours of your time.
My wife and I caught the travel bug last year in Europe. It was so awesome. All together we 're gone for six months. We went to heaps of places on the continent. Paris and Toulouse in France. Berlin and Munich in Germany and a tonne of other places. We saw so many cool places and did some really interesting things. Yeah we checked out the main tourist attractions like the Eifel Tower in Paris and the Hoffbrau House in Munich and they were awesome but.... the places we really enjoyed were the one's we found by accident.
We were in Toulouse, France and happened to find the BEST INDONESIAN restaurant I have EVER eaten at. We were in the central train station and found a small business card for the Restaurant just sitting on one of the seats in the station. Feeling a little hungry we decided to follow the little map on the back of the card and made our way to the restaurant. Before we knew it, we were smack in the middle of the red light district. I did wonder if this was a wise idea but as soon as we found the restaurant, we were welcomed inside by a really nice French speaking Indonesian guy. The restaurant was lovely and the meal was FANTASTIC. Classic Nasi Goreng with French presentation.
Now in 2012 we're about to take off again. This time we're going to South East Asia and we're not leaving too much to chance. We basically want somebody to show us around. We 're not interested in professional tour guides just someone local who has a spare six hours and is willing to show two Australians some cool places that don't really get seen by most tourists.
We're in both in our early 30's,love FOOD, and CULTURAL HISTORY, and MEETING PEOPLE. We're quite adventurous and aren't afraid to get dirty or wet. If you want to make some cash in hand, showing some Australian tourists around all you have to do is reply to this email. You can even NAME YOUR PRICE.
If you think you know the coolest places in Singapore you should DEFINITELY REPLY TO THIS POST.
You should REPLY TO THIS POST with how much six hours of your time would cost me and also if you could suggest
- One thing I MUST DO in Singapore
- One meal I MUST EAT
- and one thing I MUST SEE while in Singapore.
Thanks. I look forward to your suggestions!
Thank you for choosing this place. I'm sure interested parties will private message you with more details.
You got to visit Sentosa! It's a tourist attraction, and we even have a Universal Studio over here! If you're into nightlife, we have zouk!
For cultural history, visit Singapore's National museum. You will learn about how Singapore evolved from a fishing port into the modern city state.
When you come to Singapore, people will recommend you to try our local chilli crab. The chili crab comes in many different flavours. Apart from chili crabs, you may want to try chicken rice!
Fancy for a special experience of swimming at one of our tallest hotels in Singapore? I would definitely recommend you going to Marina Bay Sand's infinity pool. The view from there looks great!
If you really want to experience Singapore, 6 hours is not enough!
Need at least 3 days!

Nope. Genuinely looking for someone to show who can show us around. Maybe take us some places that are off the tourist trail. Just looking for a local perspective.

Off the tourist trail? Visit the canteens around the industrial estates.

Name your price. The price should cover any admission fees and cost for any meals and/or transport as well as your fee.
