I am able to make a reservation for a getaway weekend trip with my friend and wonder if anyone had been there before. As this is the first time I am actually going to batam, apart from the time when i went to the casino ship with my ns friend during ns...

So, basically know nothing about the place. What is nice around there and whether I need to change since I heard that SGD is used there... How much would one need to spend over there?

Batam is very close to Singapore I guess. I heard that, you can see Singapore from Batam without any tools
