when i was in Sapporo, Japan, for tour package holiday during CNY, stayed in a 5 star hotel in Sapporo, i think it was Sapporo Grand Hotel.
The bathroom is very spacious, has a shower cubicle with transparent glass door, n a seperate bathtub.
But the bathroom door has no lock! there is no way of locking the bathroom door when u r inside. it only has a handle to open n close (its a bar handle, not door knob).
The other bedrooms also like that.
Why like that one? It was a double single bed bedroom. But i did not bother to call up the hotel front desk to ask, since only staying for one night before checkout in the morning.
So i just told my room mate not to open the door when i was showering.
Have u ever encounter a similar situation?
Singapore also got a few 4 star hotels bathroom cannot lock one. No need to go sapporo.
Haha... why are you so scared of your room mate! LOL...
Anyway, Japanese love to go naked together, be it colleagues, friends or family, irregardless of sex.
Whole family can go naked together and go for private onsen mah.
And even for public onsen, some are unisex and you are required to go naked, even when the opposite sex is around.
Whereas for the rest, you are required to go naked with the same sex.
Bringing in a towel is unhygienic to them and pollutes the water. That was what I saw on the notice the other time. YOU MUST GO NAKED for onsen in Japan.
