Which package better ?
Skip the land tours. They are offering you just a small window of time to do shopping.
Its its purely for shopping, then you could just drive, take coach or fly to any of the destinations.
I can tell you straight off. Phuket's Central Mall is expensive and you will rather spend 1 full day at Patong Beach, even if its just to soak in the water. Plus.....are you sure you can go for nightlife when the cruise has certain ferry time?
Malaysia is a better bet for shopping, but go on cruise, its easier to stick on the cruise and eat on board the cruise ship rather then have to spend money eat at land.
Drive there much better option.
If you die die must go for a land tour. Then take the Phuket one.
Just make sure you have lots of thai baht and do buy back lots of cashew nuts.
And ask them to skip the Central Mall and take you direct to Patong, where you try not to spend anything there, unless its to eat at Burger King. Go at least soak your feet into the Patong Beach sand and water.
At least in Phuket, its okay to walk around in shorts and slippers and sleeveless tees. But if you want to visit any temples. At least bring a really big sarong to cover up most part of your body. And do not touch the monks there.
BTW, you should also go onto the cruise with lots of $2/- notes. They are good enough to leave as tips for the cleaners that clean your rooms or for other tipping purposes.
BTW, the cruise rooms usually have those containers of shampoos and body wash screwed onto their walls already.
So you should not need to bring your big family size bottles of shampoos and bodywash.
But you might consider bring a travel size bottle of anti dandruff shampoo in your luggage along with your favourite toothpaste at least.

thanks we normally bring small containers of shampoo/bath lotion just in case
Forgot to mention. They probably will have those laundry rooms where you can wash and dry your clothes.
So irrespectively how many days is your cruise, you roughly only need to wear one set and pack 3 sets of day clothes into your luggage, include a bikini for wearing in the pool, at the beach orat their suana facilities if they have.
Bring sachets of liquid clothes detergent and maybe plenty of $1/- coins for the laundry.
Why I suggested anti dandruff shampoo, is because their water supply might have a different chemical balance then our country's ones. So Anti Dandruff shampoo is good for when your hair is not comfortable for your trip.
Bring also a travel tin of 'Vicks' Rub. Great for nights when your aircon temp and humidity is not what your nose is used to.
