......Durians season is here again! Read on the newspaper advertising "One day durians buffet tour to Malaysia." Anyone went to this kind of tour before? Is the durians really good quality? Besides eating durians, what else to do over there......?? How much per person?
You can get all the durians you want in sg, why need to pay money to go JB to eat?

hmm....
Even if it's cheaper in JB to eat the durians, the tour costs of say $50 will eat into any savings you might have.
And don't tell me you can eat 10 durians at one go.
Durians in Singapore mostly come from Malaysia.
Go Malaysia for what? Never kena robbed before?
The durian smell ain't gonna repel those robbers you know.
You'd probably find more choices of durians in Singapore than if you go for the tour.

.....it's the fun of eating in a plantation atmosphere, you witness the durians fall, pick it up, open it and enjoy. In singapore, all pack in a box, not authentic enough
I dont buy from box in Singapore. Most are from clients who dont want it when they open the durian first time.

I do believe durians usually fall in the middle of the night.
You want to stay in the plantations and wait at 4am for the durians to fall?

I went once when I was young..... I wasn't a fan of durians but my parents brought me to the plantation in Muar where you can eat to your heart's content. But because I dun like to just eat durians for lunch, I takeaway some rice and bee hoon from Singapore to eat there. The taste of the durians were not bad....
durians from muar is one of the best
