I intend to visit Japan around Dec 20th - Dec 30th this year.
My budget is at least SGD$5,000. This is excluding the air ticket, i've already purchased it.
To those who have visited Japan, do you think this is an amount which is sufficent for a 10 day holiday?
Depends on your usage of taxis, dining criteria and shopping experience.
Depends on what sort of places you are visiting.
Whether they take cash only.
Hmmm...i dont shop so much, rarely infact, altho i love photography. Dining wise, i dont know really lol. I have a few friends living there, i guess they can pull it thru for me but...i'm just worried 5k SGD isnt enough.

For a 10 day trip, I think 1K is more than enough. (~$100 a day)
Usually people will bring some cash and cover any shortfalls with their credit card.
You think it is wise to walk around with 5K in cold hard cash?
And wtf, you say 5K is not enough?
You going to high end restaurants and 6 star hotels for your stay is it?
Taxis are very expensive. Believe me.
who in the right mind will be taking taxi in japan?

My friend took once or twice.
He came back to tell me it's very expensive.
Think he like stayed for one day only.

As if you don't know how to google it yourself.
take public transport lor
Hotel rooms for 10 days will set you back $1,000 to $1,800.
Enough to spend.
Looks like going to Japan ain't cheap... lol...
