Places to go in Hong Kong

  1) ladies market 2) the peak 3) victoria harbour 4) the "la xiang guan" (i miss out tht place due to time bound!!) 5) mongkok area 6) those more high class place like causeway bay, etc (c how the the lifestyle there like) 7) go those bakery shops buy the egg tarts, bread, etc (it's yummy!!) 8) go the famous dessert shop (forgot the name liao, anyone rem??) 9) u may consider going shenzhen / macau too

  we went hk on christmas 2006

  also include shenzhen & macau

  dun really see much cos time constraint

  me too went hk on 2006 on new year's eve.. saw beautiful fireworks on new year's day at victoria harbour!! we went shenzhen too..

  had a bad experience once, paid a deposit for a hotel room and no room when arrived

  and ask to stay in a suite for extra charge otherwise take back the deposit

  Try Holiday Inn Express - it's near Times Sq. Google and if you decide on it, book via their webbie. Cheaper than going thru travel webbies/agent. Else can take the air fare cum hotel packages by Cathay Pac - very worthwhile. Includes the airport transfer via MTR.

  Also check out the pastry shop in LKF - the egg tarts were favoured by Chris Patten, last Brit. governor. Try this webbie for hotels - not sure if cheapest. You need to scout around a few webbies. www.pyotravel.com

  Don't hafta go to all places at one go. Can always go back. Plus it pays to do your homework.
