And like always, here's the following to pack for any given trip that is more then 4 days:

    1) anti-dandruff shampoo, conditioner, hair gel/serum & a comb

    2) facewash, toner & moisturisers

    3) Bodywash, lotion & deodarant stick with a wash cloth/puff

    4) Toothbrush, toothpaste, floss & mouthwash

    5) 4 pieces of sleep singlets & boxers. (Or whatever rock your sleep.)

    6) 4 pieces of polo shirts/t-shirts (One to wear on body, the rest in bag.)

    7) 4 pieces of Jeans/bermudas (One to wear on body, the rest in bag.)

    8) 4 pairs of socks. (One to wear on body, the rest in bag.)

    9) One backpack that holds your laptop.

    10) A waist pouch to maybe hold your barang barangs like cameras and so on when you are there.

    11) 4 sets of undergarments for day, and 4 for nights (Of if you wear boxers, ignore the 2nd part of this.)

    12) a sunblock like Neutrogena dry touch & at least a lip balm with spf15

    13) A pair of crocs/slippers & a pair of sports/hiking shoes

    14) A tube of Redoxon fizzy orange vitamin c.  Throw one tablet into your orange juice every morning should keep you healthy for the duration of the trip.

    15) your mp3 or walkman loaded with hokkien, malay or cantonese songs (the feeling of listening to asian music in a angmoh environment will rock you. Serious.)

    16) a real neck pillow, so you can nap on a plane, a bus or just on a bed with unfamiliar smells. (Dont get hte inflatable one, they say it may pop in mid air, and you dont want it to pop near your ears where all pillows will be at.)

    17) a beach towel and a normal towel.  Also throw in a small face towel in a ziplock bag for easier access in the plane or just when you are outdoors.

    18) Some wet tissues and plenty of dry tissue packs.

    19) a empty waterbottle, (if you can get a filter for it, by all means get it so you can easily filter water from water taps around the country.)

    20) a deep heating rub.  It really is useful for when you wake up from a strange bed, and aching all over.  also good for massaging your feet after a long day sightseeing.

of course a lot.. USA, Thailand, Indonesia and many first-world countries. Australia needing a visa from Singaporeans seems odd to me also..

  • trendz

seems strange that aussie needs sgporeans to have visas. hmmm..

  • iceFatboy

And you know the army kit bags you can buy at Beach Road Army Market?

Try bringing at least one along, folded in your 1st bag.

Its for when you really need to buy souvenirs back and it can hold tons of stuffs.

I have now 3 such bags with me in USA and its still not enough to cart home all those things I bought!

    You are so helpful....biggrin.png

    That's certainly a comprehensive checklist...

  • viciouskitty74

    Not really lah.

    I missed out:

    a) A Cap & a sunglass.

  • viciouskitty74

And here's something I learnt and did on two flights from USA to Beijin, Beijing to Xingjiang & from there to Singapore.

Have a pouch that can fit into at least your waist pouch.  In that pouch have these following and stuff that pouch into the front pocket of your flight seat.

    1) Pouch

    2) Small Comb

    3) Black ink pen

    4) Sleeping pills

    5) portable vicks

    6) lip balms

    7) small tube of face moisturiser

    8) 1 pack of Wet tissues

    9) 1 pack of dry tissues

    10) 1 pack of ricola sweets

    11) Some airborne tablets/vitamin c fizzy tablets.

    12) Big bottle of water, either you take from the Air stewardess or bought at airport before you board your flight. (I mean, after your check in, then buy at airport transit shops. )

Trust me, a big bottle of water at your disposal in the flight seat pocket is heaven sent for when you need a drink and dont have to go find the stewardess during a turbulent flight.

    13) Opps.....I fogot, a face towel in a ziplock bag next to your bottle of water.

    14) face mask sheets.  for when you want to pamper yourself a bit on the flight.

  • viciouskitty74

And if you, like me, tend to accumalte dirt under your nails without apparent reasons.

Bring along a small nail brush & a small tube of facewash to function as soap for scrubbing your nails and wash your face during the flight.

Might be good that the toothbrush and toothpaste are in your carry on backpack, waist pouch or carry on luggage.

    Let me take notes....

  • purplejade

Never take the hot/cold towel that the Air Stewardess hands out.  Seen people wipe armpit, body, feet with it.  You never know how clean the wash cycle is.....
