Long Italy Trip

Hi everyone. I am a 19 year old guy (turning 20 next month) and I am planning to go on a long trip to Italy next year (duration of around 30 days, in the period of April to June) before university starts for me in August.
I am looking at this trip as a little like backpacking, except it won't be totally on foot because of the vast distance to cover. I have wanted to do this since over a year ago, but I have only started to plan now. I will start from Sicily in Southern Italy, and work my way up North and finish in Milan. I only have a brief plan for now. The more detailed planning is expected to take me quite a few months.
Currently my own friends are interested, but probably can't come due to funding. Is anyone interested in coming too? Feel free to send me a PM or Email! -

Yeah my first trip. Um I don't have a budget yet, but its likely to cost 5k SGD. But thats just a really rough gauge. Depends a lot on how often we gonna stay in hotels really. -
dun stop at milan lah.. go turin too......then up somemore to a town call BRA...... from there near france border already.. then continued into france lor..

5k will not be enough...5K will get u 2450 Euros around there...2.4k Euro for a month...hard but not impossible...Italy is famed for exorbitant necessities...drinking water has to be Pellegrino..and thats around 15-20 Euros alone...

not including air fare hor?? ... eat their cheap pizza ... 3.5 to 5 each... can eat for 2 meal .. so give more lah. 15 to 20 per day, that mean 1200 max on meal.. then 50 per day for hotel... that mean 1500...= 2700 already...... not including transportation yet...... so... hard.. but still got abit of chance... -

waa...recently i've been thinking of going to italy too! but maybe next year then can go. need to 'raise' funds for myself. hehe!

5K is really just a rough figure. Im pretty sure it will cost a lot more, and I don't mind. I'm just looking for someone to go with.

I went to Milano and Roma last year. But am interested to go to Venice, Florence,Tuscany.
5k will definitely not be sufficient for 30 days even if you sleep in the backpacker hostel...............

I went to Italy at April 07 with conbining trip to Istanbul, Sofia n Virna for 3weeks plus.
If you are very interested for the Italy trip then, you need to look at for the airfare promotion.
I travel turkish airline to Istanbul, transfer to Sofia, (Sin-Ist-Sof, Sof-Ist-Sin) S$1500.00includes tax.
Bought the airtickets for Sofia-Milan, Roma-Sofia, S$300.00includes tax. Traveled from Milano to Roma by Eurostar.
In Sin, flights go direct to Milano and Roma only, then the rest of Italy's cities, perhaps need to go by train. So if I am you, will try to plan either Milano 1st point, Roma last point to save airfare cost. Or via versa.
