I had planned to visit Thailand this month and had earlier booked my tickets. The stupid demonstration to overthrow the government disrupted my plans. What do these idiots want? They want to scare away investors, bring down the stock market and bring unemployment and misery to the poor people. Who suffers? Only the master minds want power and the wealth that comes with it.
Referendum from the people? They will probably confirm and bring Samak back to power again. Then what, another round of demonstration?
Pissed me off.. Let this country rot..
tis is the starting only
more will come in other world
oh yes, what exactly is happening in thailand ha?
you are very sore about the tickets you already booked, right ? ...
its still in a state of emergency if i'm not wrong..

As long as they don't burn down the rice padi or factory for the Royal Umbrella Rice can already.
From what i heard this is just a isolated thai incident, all the tourist areas are as per normal, leave the politics to the thai people, that is their own country and they can do wadever they want with it.
My buddy booked his flight to bangkok a mth ago, he is flying tmr and have no plans to cancel the trip.

The foreigner workers sitting around half-naked in the estates in Singapore staring at the girls are scarier...
Damned Singapore Despots...

andyboy... why don't you go learn from the Thais?
demonstrate and riot against a DEMOCRATICALLY ELECTED gabrament..
oh.. i forgot.. you don't believe in democracy.. you love lip service and lies.. you believe in tinpot despotism and inflicting your views on others...
anyway, back to Travel...
i'm going there in a couple of weeks... a friend went there yesterday..
it's peaceful.. only places that are messed up are at the demonstrations.. which are isolated areas...
the opposition this time is really too much. they are opposing for the sake of showing a presence.
it is very naive to believe that everything will be fine if they manage to impreach the PM. if they really manage to impreach the PM, the ruling coalition would most likely select another PM from their crop of candidates, and most likely this new PM would not be well favored by the opposition again. as is the case for the past 4 yrs.
4 elections in 4 yrs. 4 yrs of riots and coups.... WTH....
and somemore, the trouble makers are always the same few person. IMO, since they have alr commited great atrocities, like taking over the media building, the parliament building, may as well arrest them and sentence them the maximum penalty, the death penalty, for their crime.
protest and strikes i can understand. taking over governmental building by force? rioting on the streets with bows and swords? that's crazy.... i can't forsee a government filled with that kind of crazies inside.

alamak... you know what they are trying to do? They are trying to stop the government from amending the constitution to their own advantage.
Thaksin won, yes and then tried to consolidate his power to become a virual dictatorship like the old dying despot in Singapore.
So I ask you, according to the Singapore despots, they have been given a mandate by the people and so they can do whatever fark they like.
Is that so? They can change the constitution and make Singapore into a communist country with the PAP forever in power?
They can change the constitution to make Singapore into a monarchy and the old dying despot be king and his cancer suffering son as crown prince?
They can do all that because the people voted them it?
Same same in Thailand now. The present administration is seen as a puppet of Thaksin, to change the constitution and let Thaksin come back and take over.
You think the Thais are silliporeans and will let that happen?
They will do anything to stop that crapz from happening.
This is why they have a resilient economy and Singapore has a paper house economy.
Damned Despots and their as-sniffing dogs.
can't even spell properly... it's thailang
