The standard there dropped liao. Many shops sell quite expensive clothes...You've got to really SEARCH there to look for shops which would sell you good and cheap ones...

Personally I think FOOD is one of the BEST BUYS!!
You can clothes if you know where to search and buy....

should be in the ximending area...thinking of making a day trip up to Keelung area....and maybe a THSR ride down south Tai Chung...my friend wants to go to this Sun Moon Lake...but like beri far from Taipei...

Ya, Sun Moon Lake quite far from Taipei...
Not sure exactly what sort of clothings you're into, but Xi Men Ding area itself would have a couple of shops which sell quite good and cheap guys' clothings.... Don't always go for 'good-looking' shops.. Some of them might sell good clothings but the prices also not anywhere near cheap.... Look for shops which are more 'plain' and simple.. Go into alleys and such.... You'll find good food and clothings just at your area alone....

Just a suggestion that you can consider scuba diving at ken ting. If you ever go, please come back let us know how you like it. When are you going and when are you returning to sg?Some of those restaurants away from the cities grow their own veg and serve this at the restaurants. Healthy. Scenary is nice. Give it a try and let us know how you like it. In Taipei, there is one such restaurant in Yang ming san.

Unfortunately, the food programme did not provide the address for the restaurant. Go search on the web or go to the taiwan tourism web to look for it. That place is beautiful. Go yang ming san for sunset, beautiful.

There's a 85 storey building in Kaoshiung, Taiwan. A lot of things can buy inside, also you can take the lift up to 70+ storey (can't rmb) and you look down the window, very shoking sia.... 1 normal car is about the size of your middle finger.
If you can't go to Kaoshiung, only Taipei area that try to choose Grand Hyatt Taipei Hotel, and the hotel is very near Taipei 101.

Mmm... I normally don't shop electronic stuffs there... Sports shoes are standard. Unless you're women then shoes might be cheaper.
Guys's trend shoes I believe you can get cheaper if you know how to search for them...

mobile phone i think not ba.. it's around the same prices.. but laptops or desktop hardware can be good... it's damn cheap over there.. if you compare laptop of sony, our side sell it like 2k going 3, theirs only like 2k++
