just wanna ask, cos i have interest
asia/europe/US for a month or more, how much will i need? that includes spending, eating, air fares, transport and stuffs.
budget is less than 8k, will that be enough?
and also, can anyone provide me with the websites and stuffs of places of attractions?
i google already, and all i find is crap
thanks all
your question is very vague.
8k can be plenty or it can mean peanuts, basically depends on how many places you are visiting. the standards of accomodation u require. type of transport available. blah blah blah. even in asia. u wana compare spending SGD 8k in thailand and SGD 8k in japan?
Where and what duration you would be there... these are the esscentials...
eurotrip. lol. expensive wor...
8K for Europe, no
8K for USA, with the current economy, maybe just enough
8K asia, wah, more than enough even for me.

i would feel like a God there for a month!!!!
you wanna go to asia, united states AND europe...??? :? like that confirm not enuf! air tickets/train tickets/transport alone will eat up about half of that 8K. plus where r u going to stay? even the cheap hostels or whatever you can find are not THAT cheap. esp after u convert S$ to euros...T.T you can say byebye to the 8K and say hi to 4K euros or whatever the exchange rate is....T.T
be more specific lar. where you wanna go? which countries? which cities? what do you wanna do during the trip? just see the usual tourist stuff? shopping? just wanting to be there? eating? and when will u be going? when the students in most parts of the world are having holiday or when it's exam-time for most students?
if ur so vague i might take it as you want to visit all of Asia, Europe and the united states. and if that's the case, no need to check anything i can oso tell u the 8K wun b enuf.
lets keep this thread alive. like TS im also interested in backpacking but have no experience or been on a backpack trip yet. all overseas visit are with families. so plan to backpack alone, no burden and total freedom. hope to learn more from the more experienced backpackers here. lets say if i plan to backpack alone for a start, maybe countries like thailand or vietnam could be where i start my first backpacking trip. so should i calculate my expenses. and which airway is the best? Go europe, bring a withdrawal card. Take the cheapest airline to mainland europe, from there take bus, trains to other parts of europe.
