I guess most mixed-rice stalls, whether Chinese or Indian, in Johor Baru and Kuala Lumpur are operated in this way. This is different from the self-service stalls in Singapore that are not in any way self-service. There should still be one at one of the top floors of City Square. Otherwise, try a new one at Nusa Bestari, probably in the same row as the white-coffee restaurant, at the same side as KFC and Maybank, opposite BestMart. They typically have twenty to forty dishes.Originally posted by Phoebie:btw i rmb about 8 years ago i went to a shopping mall in jb,
there got one mixed veggie rice counter whereby we scoop the dishes on our own and when done just bring to the uncle at the counter for payment
i forgot which shopping mall le

i like steamboatOriginally posted by rainee:Wait got more
Johor Jaya is a good place for chinese food...there is a biggest hawker center there...I have only been there once but I was awed by the number of stalls...until now still finding a way to get there by my car
If steamboat is what you like (it is definitely my thing), there is one in Taman Tun Aminah, you can see it from the roadside, it is the corner shop, right beside a big canal...eat all you want for just RM 16 per person...when I went there I always piled on the prawns and crabs...the prawns are the main attraction there as they are live prawns and fresh...
