Basically, when you induce a current in a circuit using a magnet, the resultant current will flow such that it will oppose the movement of the magnet that's inducing the current.So when the magnet enters the coil, the current will flow such that it will try to push the magnet out. When the magnet leaves the coil, it will flow such that it will try to retain the magnet inside.

I was a bio-chem student. I hated physics because it involves a lot of technical stuff. Ugh. Chemistry's fine but I always died at the mole concept.

I took phy/chem....chem was my least favourite, but is somehow always the one doing the best at national exams. -
