next time i get married, i shall make the kitchen my heaven. my hubby will have no say at all abt the deco etc.
And apparently my hubby's family does too
So it was naturel that we wanted to get a nice and good one.
Just note when planning your kitchen do not use stainless steel paneling or lots of stainless steel fixtures
It looks great in a showroom but you are going to cry when it comes to cleaning
You can use something called Lacobel which is a heat resistant and slightly scratch resistant type of glass. Must nicer too and your kitchen will look different. That is what I opted for and it's cheaper too
(Dun forget rising prices on steel) I used Lacobel instead of kitchen wall tiles. My kitchen has no wall tiles at all and it's not a problem since we don't deep fry and we got a good cooker hood. -

yeah but without a designer...u might not be able to get the dream house u want....but of coz there are also those rich people who ask for designer for the sake of designing.... -

He gave us the design, help us shop for the fixtures and coordinated the contractors etc
I think his pay is somewhere in the cost of the fixtures and stuff
But my house reno was resonably priced
We didn't even go down to look at the contruction coz we were busy with work and both of us were overseas
When we came back the floor and some things were already up
Anyway, my house reno, designer and everything came up to around 43k for a 4 room flat.
We shopped around of course and he gave the best price, the materials were better and he gave the best design as well. -
