  thanks...my oven also tefal brand...cost me $200 plus. after i bought it, i read that those built-in ovens are better. esp if you gonna bake those big cakes. results are better. regret buying my oven but no choice, my house not enough space for a built-in oven.

  You don't need a big kitchen for a build in oven
  My kitchen isn't very big
  However I do admit it's easier to squeeze everything in a new house which you are going to reonvate

  got...i had the recipe by my side and i followed each step closely. but it has been a long time i baked something since my sec sch days' food & nutrition lessons. so i forgot how 'thick & fluffy' the eggs & sugar mixture should be like. after my first flop, i went to the internet to do some research then realised the eggs should be beaten til it leaves a soft peak when dropped from the whisk.
  
  good idea for the recipe exchange...anyone had low-fat muffins/cupcakes recipes to share?

  how lousy can a mixer get? i thought as long it can mix everything, it has served its purpose? i havent got a mixer yet, no idea how to choose which is good.
