the hardest part of making egg tarts is the crust.

but then can put in more effort on the appearance.
errr . LOL . cos the box is kinda small .. and im kinda scared of touching the choc on top cos it melts easily aft being in the fridge for too long . =p so just arrange a few inside .. hehe .Originally posted by MooKu:It's not ugly at all! But how come there's only a few cookies in a box?
i used cookie cutters . ahahas .Originally posted by MooKu:kiseki... did you use a cookie press or cookie cutter?
hmm does anybody have a tried and tested recipe for a simple, light & fluffy chocolate cake?
um.Originally posted by kiseki:i used cookie cutters . ahahas .
what's a cookie press ?
i havent tried chocolate cake yet . maybe i'll play around next week =p
if i do i'll tell you ok !
ooh !!! that seems nice la ! lols .Originally posted by MooKu:um.
it's like, u put all the cookie dough into the cookie press, then you press this thing on top and the dough will come out from the bottom in your desired shape.
was the dough easy to work with? i've tried making cut-out cookies a few times, but the dough was nearly always too sticky to work with. I can't add too much flour either, otherwise the biscuit will turn too hard.
can share ur recipe?
mmm i see!Originally posted by kiseki:ooh !!! that seems nice la ! lols .
the dough wasnt that sticky .. i added flour a lil by a lil when kneading .. so it was alright . umm . but when i cut out the dough with the cookie cutters the dough would start to turn out of shape .. =\ thats why you see i got quite a few out of shape cookies . LOL .

tasting dough?? how come, too much flour?Originally posted by kiseki:not bad . hehe . dunno for you but i had to keep watchin the cookies . make sure they arent over or under baked . else you'll be eating sotnes , or tasting dough =x

actually i like cat's tongue biscuits too, but i haven't come across a recipe for it
haha cats tongue biscuits are just thin biscuits shaped like a cat's tongue... or actually any animal's tongue...Originally posted by kiseki:cos its under baked !!! ahahas .
what are cat tongue biscuits ? o.O
i heard of them before .. dunno if ive actually seen them before though .Originally posted by MooKu:haha cats tongue biscuits are just thin biscuits shaped like a cat's tongue... or actually any animal's tongue...
if you've baked often enough, you will start to take less time to bake ... reallyOriginally posted by kiseki:i heard of them before .. dunno if ive actually seen them before though .
hehe . baking !!! is very fun . but VERY TIRING ...
heehee some people say it's actually better to mix the dough manually, so you can feel the consistency or something whatever lahOriginally posted by browniebaobao:i dun think have to spend so much money buying cookie press, electric mixer or watever lah..
i saw a variety of cookie cutters, many shapes and sizes, muffin cups etc at Poon Huat.. will go buy some when im free ba. hehe.
hees . practice makes perfect ?Originally posted by MooKu:if you've baked often enough, you will start to take less time to bake ... really
i used to take whole days to bake too
but the last time i baked cookies, it took me just four hours to finish everything, including washing up
i think by doing it manually also means more sincerity ba..Originally posted by MooKu:heehee some people say it's actually better to mix the dough manually, so you can feel the consistency or something whatever lah
if you use an electric mixer, you might overmix...
