Anyway, my house reno, designer and everything came up to around 43k for a 4 room flat.

Yes you are right you have to start saving now
Depends on how you spend and what you want after marriage
If you want a simple house with IKEA furnishing, I think reno 10k is enough maybe max max 20k
If you want something more you can spend more
Then your lifestyle depends on what you want
If you like the simple life you don't spend much
Or if you want kids etc.
Like for us, right now we are happy as DINKs and just do what we want, buy what we want. -
