[Physics] Faraday's Experiment

  I still dont know about how the meter works and dont get what the experiment is trying to prove either.
  the lines are getting me blurred. i dont seem to understand anything in the 2nd experiment. can someone help to explain?

  aint my notes la. i lost my notes!
  
  but i trust this notes more than i trust my own notes. can help? my school dont teach this in notes also btw.

  which side of the needle of the galvanometer will point at? and when does it point to the left or right? still mixing up all these.

  deflect according to the direction of induced current i think.
  so when current goes left, points left lo.
  goes right, points right lo.
  
  i dunno if im right.
  my physics nt tt good also.

  It induces an AC current.. when go in.. the current goes 1 direction.. hence the meter show one direction..
  
  when magnet goes out.. the current induces goes the opposite direction.. so meter shows opposite direction..

  It shows that there is breakages of magnetic field lines which thus will show a deflection to the left or right side(this is an ac current). Thus we can conclude that a current is form when a magnet is moved in and out continuously into a solenoid.

  by looking at the diagram, I think u move a magnet through the coil to produce a change in flux, by lenzes law, induced current is opposite of change of flux, so the meter will show the direction of the current, which should be opposite.
