Arsène Wenger says he is pleased with how Alexander Hleb is playing behind Robin van Persie.
The boss experimented with the idea in pre-season to good effect and was pleased with Hleb's performance there against Fulham on Sunday.
He did, however, hint that he will return to using two strikers once they are all ready.
"Hleb is doing very well in there," said Wenger. "I felt that sometimes van Persie was a bit isolated, when Bendtner came on and was supporting him it was a bit easier. But sometimes it depends on the games."
The Frenchman also defended Hleb after accusations by Fulham boss Lawrie Sanchez that the Belarussian dived to try to win a penalty early in the game.
"Hleb is adamant there was a hundred per-cent penalty on him," insisted Wenger.
"I'm ready to look at that on the video because on the bench it's impossible to say or not, but it didn't look to me like he dived."
First,i dont think he dived. He was really brought down by the cunt fulham defender. And for his position, it's his natural position when he was at stuttgart,so i believe he'll do a proper job as an attacking mid instead of right or left wing.
