ArsenalÂ’s Spanish starlet Cesc Fabregas is the top-priced Arsenal player for next season's PFA Player Of The Year award. Cesc will be crucial to ArsenalÂ’s success in the coming campaign so 14/1 with Paddy Power seems a value bet. Some say he should have won the Young Player Award last season but Ronaldo did the double, could ArsenalÂ’s No 4 do the same?
Robin van Persie has shown in pre-season that he is ready to fill Thierry HenryÂ’s boots so it may come as a welcome surprise to Arsenal fans that bookies Paddy Power have priced the Dutchman at 18/1 to win the PFA award.
Christiano Ronaldo won the PFA Player Of The Year award last season after some breathtaking displays and, with Henry now at Barcelona, he is the 13/2 favourite to retain his PFA crown. RonaldoÂ’s team mate Wayne Rooney is also a 13/2 shot. That's no surprise with that pair likely to be prominent once again, but watch out for Chelsea. John Terry is an excellent 14/1 to win the PFA award while Cech is a massive 50/1!
Of the chasing pack itÂ’s no surprise that Steven Gerrard is the top-priced Liverpool player at 11/1, new boy Fernando Torres comes straight in at 20/1 while Jamie Carragher is a long-priced 33/1.
Some people argued that Dimitar Berbatov should have won the award last season as he brought new excitement to White Hart Lane not seen for years. The Bulgarian is 16/1 to win the award at the end of this season which is bound to see support in some corners of North London. Not at Arsenal though!
