Mark Randall is hoping to break into the Arsenal side this season but admits he could also be loaned out for a spell. The promising midfielder signed a professional contract with The Gunners midway through last season and featured twice in the Carling Cup.
The 17-year-old was included in the pre-season tour of Austria and is now looking to step up and make a name for himself in the Premier League.
Randall believes he will get opportunities to play if he works hard enough but is also ready to go out on loan if Arsene Wenger decides he needs more regular action.
He told the club's official website: "Hopefully I will get a run-out in the Premier League this season but maybe I will go out on loan. I don't know yet.
"But as a youngster I feel if you are good enough then you will get your chance here. The boss has shown that in the past."
Armand Traore was the youngest player on Arsenal's trip to Austria but Randall, older by just ten days, was thrilled to join the senior squad.
"The first team come to Austria every season and a lot of young players want to be part of the tour," he explained.
"Training with them is a lot sharper. Having such good players around you all the time makes it a lot easier both for yourself and your team-mates.
"There is also a great spirit around the squad at the moment and it was great to be part of that."
