Havard Nordtveit claims FK Haugesund are demanding too much money for him.
Arsene Wenger travelled to Norway over the weekend in an attempt to clinch the signing of the 16-year-old defender, but transfer talks collapsed.
Haugesund rejected Arsenal's offer and further negotiations will be needed if the deal is to be resurrected.
And Nordtveit feels Haugesund must be the first to compromise and lower their asking price.
"The price Haugesund want for me is way too high, it's supernaturally high," he told Haugesund avis.
Nordtveit has been linked with Manchester United in the past but Haugesund confirmed on Monday that Arsenal were the only club in the running at the moment.
