Thierry Henry admits he has become frustrated by Arsenal's failure to challenge for the Premiership title.
The Gunners finished a massive 21 points behind champions Manchester United last season, claiming fourth spot in each of the last two years.
Henry hopes to see progress at Emirates Stadium next season having watched Arsenal go backwards since winning the title in 2004.
"It was pretty difficult to see us once again finish so far away from the top teams," he said on the website.
"But a lot of teams behind us can say that too. For a very long time now it has always been the same top four.
"I'm actually getting annoyed that we are finishing at the end of the top four now.
"But a lot of stuff has happened at the club recently so maybe you have to start again."
Henry continues to be linked with a summer move to Barcelona and failed to quell speculation about his future during a trip to China.
