Gunners bid to pocket Bak
ARSENAL are close to signing Auxerre right-back Bakari Sagna for £6million.
Sagna, recently voted FranceÂ’s best player in his position by his fellow players, was in the national squad for the first time for SaturdayÂ’s Euro 2008 qualifying win over Ukraine.
Auxerre are aware of the GunnersÂ’ interest and admit they are likely to lose their 24-year-old star, whose career took off after a switch of postion from centre-forward.
Manager Jean Fernandez said: “The ideal thing would be for him to stay another year but that appears difficult.”
So if this is true,we'll have Eboue hoyte and this bakari guy. I've never seen this guy played before but base on FM,,,,,he's quite good. I dunno if he's like eboue, dives and do all shit stuffs that an arsenal fan dont like to see.His name is quite funny too.

Yeah eboue to the right wing perhaps. And also hoyte and eboue had signed a long term deal too.Originally posted by ben1xy:I don't think we need 3 RBs, i dun think hoyte or eboue will be sold. Maybe wenger wants to push eboue to right wing?
the chance of having ribery here grows slimmer by the day!Originally posted by felirox:Yeah eboue to the right wing perhaps. And also hoyte and eboue had signed a long term deal too.

U-21? oh god. another youngster.Originally posted by Trump_Card:If im not wrong , AW could be looking at the u-21 uefa championship at holland and looking for potential buys ...
He needs to sign a big name so as to underline the club's ambition , a youngster needs time to mature ... If he does that every season , I dun think its strange if arsenal fail to win anything ...Originally posted by felirox:U-21? oh god. another youngster.
x2... further more the youngster needs a superstar to lead him else he will stilwan to leave the club... infact the players will all wan to leave as ey will tink the club lack ambition... so hope wenger can realise tis n buy at least a major superstar off season...Originally posted by Trump_Card:He needs to sign a big name so as to underline the club's ambition , a youngster needs time to mature ... Arsenal, Liverpool & Spurs could suit striker
Unsettled striker David Trezeguet seems set to leave newly-promoted Juventus after revealing his contract negotiations are at a standstill.
Over the last few seasons there have been many occasions when Trezeguet has been linked to Premiership clubs with generally Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham thought to be the most interested.
The three mentioned would certainly be attractive to Trezeguet, but it remains to be seen if the feeling is still mutual.
The 29-year-old France international, whose contract runs out in 2008, is currently in talks over a new deal but is deeply unsatisfied with what the Turin club - whom he has been with for seven years - are offering him.
"There is no more hope of staying with Juventus - I feel they have little faith in me," Trezeguet told SKY Italia on Sunday after the Serie B champions lost 3-2 at home to Spezia.
"The offer they have made me tells me everything I need to know.
"I've given my best, just as the club asked me this season, but I feel they have made other choices.
"Now I am going on holiday and I will wait for a call from the board. It's up to them to decide what to do with me.
"It's a shame because I wanted to carry on, but they don't seem to want me anymore."
Trezeguet was one of the few star players to stick with Juve following their demotion to the second division for match-fixing last summer, and helped them win promotion back to Serie A after just one season.
However, Trezeguet was criticised by many for his performances and scored just 15 goals, a poor return for such a proven striker in a lower division.
Juve CEO Jean-Claude Blanc wasted no time in hitting back at Trezeguet.
"It's too easy to blame everything on the club," said the Frenchman. "We made David offers in September, October and November, but he didn't want to sign.
"The time has come to talk about it again, but David has to remember that to wear the Juventus shirt is an honour. We hope he wants to stay and is willing to give the maximum in every match.
"Our objective is to keep all of our best players, but only if they are motivated."
He'll be a good signing but arsenal has too many strikers already. What they really need is actually is a winger. And i think arsenal's strikers just need to improve on the finishing. that's all.
From Soccernetany true in the reports..?
Thierry Henry tonight appeared to be on the brink of leaving Arsenal for Barcelona.
Sources close to the Spanish club have declared a four-year deal has been signed for the France World Cup winner.
Henry, the most influential player in Arsenal's history, admitted the shock departure of vice-chairman David Dein last season had been unsettling for everyone at the club.
It now looks as if the brilliant forward is set to call time on his eight-year stay in north London.
Manager Arsene Wenger will have no doubt tried to convince his talisman to remain at the club, confident they could again compete for honours both at home and abroad.
