Watford's on-loan goalkeeper Ben Foster is hopeful of making a return from knee surgery over the busy festive period.
The 23-year-old Manchester United star has been out for a month after being forced to go under the knife, but is hoping to back in action in the near future to boost the Hornets' fight to avoid relegation.
He told the Kenilworth Courier: "The knee is much better.
"I had surgery three-and-a-half weeks ago and I've managed to restart training this week.
"I'm hoping to be back for the game with Liverpool next week, but Arsenal on Boxing Day might be a more realistic target.
"It's been massively frustrating having to sit out. After all, I'm a footballer and playing football is my job, so I've been fed up.
"I've still had plenty to do to make sure I get back as soon as possible.
"I've been at the training ground having treatment most days and having ice packs on the knee. I've also been doing all I can to keep fit."
