Mining question

Hello guys. I decided to play runescape after a long break from it. Around 2 years i think.
Question, is mining coal still a good way to earn cash? And where would be the best place to mine it. I need a bit more gold to get my rune pick.
I am not a member. So f2p mines only pls.

Well, imo woodcutting yews(level 60, 445gp each) makes money way faster...
Unless you're willing to grind mining all the way to 85 then you can mine runite(16000gp each)..which is actually what i'm doing right now.
Then definitely mining > woodcutting.We've got a guide here you might wanna see. might help you with the gold needed for the rune pick.

go on minning iron. - at varrock south mines. or falador mines.

Anyway I found a good way to make cash. Buy iron ore n coal from GE, smith to steel bars and sell. Around 200 profit each steel bar plus exp for smithing.
Btw best place to mine coal is def lumbridge swamp. 7 rocks!

Ya i did the buy iron and coal thing once.
but too damn sians.
earnt about 600k though.
but best thing for you now is do iron till 60. by then you'll have tons of them in bank so you can mine coal in the mining guild then smelt/smith them into bars.

Be membs lor, got more gameplay.
I don't think one can get bored in membs.
and pretty sure lvling is easier there too.

but. you need paypal/credit card/ send cash (in USD) via mail.
all these options are out of reach to teenages.. except for cash via mail but it's too slow and money often gets lost in transit..
