but charging it for 6-8 hrs even when the indicator states battery full, won't it shorten/damage the battery lifespan..

Not that I know of.....
so meaning I should heed the salesperson advice & charge it for about 6-8 hrs..

only for the first time. - To ensure that the battery is properly charged. Current can flow through properly. and volt is at max.
so means its ok for me to charge it for 6-8 hrs then thereafter stop charging when the indicator states battery full rite..
anyway, this is wat i took off from the bus forum..
So, 8316 did the same mistake as bus555 eh? Admit here
bah.

Terrible....they were pushing each other just to get onboard. Gave me heart-attack because I was on duty and any safety breach meant I had to take some responsability.
The gangway was slippery and it was high-tide, which meant the gangway was at 30 deg. And they were scrambling up the ganagway.
"OI! Don't run, don't run!"
"Slowly!"
Those were the phrases of the morning.

They won't.
ANyway the funniest was when we did a safety brief for them and one guy demo how you should climb down the stairs, facing the stairs....
We hid our laughter because we don't do that.
And the next day was a tour for NCC teachers....we went out, came back that time kena steering failure.

Yah lor....so when we going back that time, we got stuck in the middle of the base because we lost half our steering.
Dunno what the teachers will think after that.
But then they were of the mentality we steer using the old-fashion steering wheel. They were shocked to see the steering is done by clicking the mouse.

.. it's realy not a steering wheel?!
if you lost 1/2 your steering then how?
ST technology so laoya?

WTH....no!
Under the normal conditions it is done either by joystick or keyboard or mouse. I personally prefer the joystick. Keyboard/mouse is more troublesome.
Oh, and there's autopilot mode.

How? Stay in the middle of the basin, troubleshoot before coming alongside lor.
Steering failure is so common that when the helmsman shouted to the XO that port rudder is not responding, he said: No problem.
