Dont be.I have tried - nokia, sony ericsson, samsung and motorola, Lg phones. I have used lots of different models over the years + tried the windows mobile b4 (once)
In order of increasing difficulity. i find.
sony ericsson and samsung and LG (ranking last all v-easy), Nokia (symbian not difficult but applications wise, cause this os supports lots of different applications. controls fairly same as LG ect.)
most difficult is Motorola. (totally opposite of those SE and samsung keys, so often press wrongly.) so user unfriendly. took me 2 days to learn but still occasionally press wrong.
windows mobile, seemed easy. I tried it once on my friend's os. But still strange, cause quite different from normal average os used in phones. Something like symbian when i once got it, unknown.

too difficult?
bond to be difficult, it depends on the person using it.
if you are stuck with a damm simple interface like sony ericsson or the old nokia models. 100% sure blur.
when i made a jump from SE to my current nokia, can see the learning curve. cause keys are different, buttons are different, ways to lock ect different.
get the general idea of it first. dont worry about not being able to store nos.
slowly explore the features.
Bttw you using xp or vista?

both my notebook & the main comp (shared by my dad & me) are both running XP..
the learning curve for the omnia confirm steep one then wats more the probs with the firmware, glitches, etc..

i often wait for 2nd batch.
first batch might have some built quality problems like loose fittings ect.
already got one clear example is the pouch included to put the phone (omnia)

that pouch I know sucks which is why my fren is getting for me another pouch from overseas for the omnia..
tried vista on my fren's comp but I find it not as gd as xp but then again, it might be due to the user oso..
