  Lols! Sup peepsie! Yeah kinda 1 week old playing RS cos I'm like so bored lols and this is the closest thing to Ultima Online lols..

   

  So just wanted to say Hi and post queries if possible yah?

   

  So yeah, Im building up a Ranger. A pure apparently, I hope. Lols~ Any tips? Like AR and Bows? Apparently for FTP, best bow is maple is it?

  Rangers ain exactly strong for f2p. The strongest would be (mage, warrior (depends on your stats), ranger) Yes, the maple bow is the best so far.

  Arrows: go for iron. (they last longer before breaking. If you have noticed by now. A certain amt of arrows (1 or 2) will not be dropped on the ground after the killing of a mob)

  Armour: Save up. Get the basic leather chaps and body only + a good bow.  Save up for Green D  (the best for f2p) body and head gear, and chaps. Wearing the body requires 40range and 40 def (for body)

  Do not, wear metal armour. they will reduce your range attack bonus, reducing the damage given.

  i think money shldn be a problem for me cos im getting regular cash flows from mining and woodcutting.. Shldn't Rangers pwn Mages quite a bit?

  what creatures are best to train up range?

  Mages deal high blast damage  - avg 7 to 16 for f2p, a ranger will definitely hit <10 (unless u use addy arrows and u are of a quite high range level)

  A lower leveled ranger with little armour will not really stand a chance.

   

  Security strong hold. The mobs there drop arrows.

  im planning to be a pure.. actually im not sure whats up with these pure thingies? whats the advantage? Also, whats the best way for a pure ranger? as minimum defence as possible? or high?

  it's a trainers bow.

  from lumbridge go slightly west before the general stall.

  Advantage of being a pure is....even though your range lvl is high, your combat lvl will be kept low (because you only train range mah).

  lol

  so you can own mages in pvp. They'll be stunned at your damage even though your combat lvl is low.

  lol ok ok lemme get this so that means higher levels cannot attack lower levels? so if i'm pure, i can attack fellow lower levels but deal high damage? should i get my prayer up? i've ben killing and raising prayer too.. advice? defence at 10 sufficient?

  Higher levels can attack lower levels and same goes for lower to higher

  10 defence is not sufficient. 

  What if mobs hit ya?  You cant always be in a safe spot

  What's ur combat level now?

   

  It's seriously up to you. when ur prayer is high enough, you can use >> ranger spells that boost your attack or defence.  As a warrior, i seldom use them, however the protection spells may come in handy >> Protect from range and protect from magic and protect from melee.

  Cause at dual arena...you can go challenge those high lvl mages....then they see you low level, most likely they will accept the dual mah lol. Thinking its an easy fight.

  Then in the fight you start pawning them with high dmg! *hiak *hiak *hiak...

  Prayer increases your combat lvl also btw. i cant rmb how much Prayer : Combat lvl though.

  Hmm orite sounds goods.. I've been keepin in check with tip.it/runescape.. According to the combat calculator if I'm still under range based, I can have Attack or Str which will not affect my combat level at all.. So my next question is, for 2 handed swords, which is better for the dmg - Att or Str?

  Str for damage!

  But low att means you'll miss alot though....lol but when the high damage comes out, you'll will feel damn shiok! heh!
