My feedback on the matches this week.
A good lineup of matches, especially the Sunday night ones
This Sunday got two big matches (Man Utd v Liverpool and Tottenham v Arsenal). I will definitely watch them. Liverpool and Arsenal have the chance to do the double on their opponents.
I think Liverpool can at least force a draw at Old Trafford, since Man Utd are not in good form and Tottenham will win the North London derby. Arsenal have not won at White Hart Lane since 2007.
Aston Villa v Chelsea on Sunday morning at 1.30am. Like last week, Chelsea will play last, so have to stay up till 3.30am again to watch them. This is because Sky Sports picked the match for live broadcasting in the UK.
This Sunday will be a Super Sunday, therefore I will catch both the matches, since Monday is a school holiday. If you missed any of the matches, you can catch some of the matches on mio Stadium On Demand (mio TV Ch 109 and StarHub TV Ch 234). The two sunday matches will definitely be available on demand, since both matches are big ones. The matches will be available on demand for a month after the match.
Yeah, you will be able to catch the matches on demand. So my children don't have to worry about not being able to watch the late games when there is school the next day.
In the past, kopitiams (coffee shops) in the neighbourhood used to show EPL matches live. Nowadays, kopitiams do not show matches anymore, they only show mediacorp channels only. Gone were the times where people gather at kopitiams to watch the matches and make a lot of noise whenever a goal is scored. They drink beer and make friends with other people. Due to complaints from residents, kopitiams are prohibited from showing matches during late hours, they must turn off their tv sets by 11pm so that residents can sleep. Only places like clarke quay and chinatown show matches nowadays. Without kopitiam live screening, people now have to subscribe to their own cable tv service in order to catch them and have to pay monthly subscription fee while in the past, they can go to kopitiam to catch the matches for free (since the kopitiam boss subscribe and pay for the cable tv). Watching football alone at home is lonely compared to watching them with many people at the kopitiam.
