Chelsea captain John Terry is facing a massive 12-game ban if he is found guilty
CHELSEA and England captain John Terry is facing a masive 12-game ban if he is found guilty of racially abusing QPR star Anton Ferdinand.
The FA have placed their own inquiry into the October 23 flashpoint, in which it is alleged Terry called Ferdinand a ‘******* black ****, on hold after learning that Terry is to face criminal charges over the incident when he appears at West London Magistrates Court on February 1.
Once that is resolved, the FA will get down to business and, as in the Luis Suarez case, Terry can expect a lengthy suspension if a guilty verdict is handed out by a commission.
Liverpool striker Suarez was banned for eight games and fined £40,000 after being found guilty of addressing Manchester United defender Patrice Evra as “negro”.
If Terry is deemed to have uttered the alleged remarks then the punishment could be even greater than that meted out to Suarez.
There is talk of a possible 12- game suspension, although Terry has vowed to “fight tooth and nail” to prove his innocence adding in a statement: “I have campaigned against racism and believe there is no place for it in society.” -
12 games? by the time he comes back, season almost over. will it affect his fitness for the european championship in June?

Good chance for AVB to stamp his authority with Terry banned, Lampard and Drogba sold.

Terry's fate depend a lot on the police making a case against him. If they find him not guilty, then the FA will, i guess also have to accept it and set him free.
However, if the police do successfully charge him, then i wonder if Terry will be subject to double jeopardy? lol.

Pay him lah... Cos he is so cheap at $7m only cos of he contract running out. And even if they give him a 4 yrs contract, they only pay $21m salary + $7m transfer fee only.Otherwise this type, English, middle age and England player, Liverpool may be willing to pay $24m transfer fee kind. See Henderson, Downing and Carroll... All $20m or over players... Chelsea really pinching at the wrong places... Wait they lose him then know...

it's better he banned for 12 games,and thenAVB can plot to get rid of him,he's a liability to the team,conceding last minute goals to the opponents!and weak in set piece defending!i think some of the Chelsea players need to be sold:Drogba,Kalou,Lampard,Petr Cech,Ivanovic,Bosingwa,mikel,and the who fr Barcelona Oreo?a barcelona discards!
