  FORMER Liverpool and Inter Milan boss Rafa Benitez is being lined up as a replacement for Paris St Germain coach Antoine Kombouare.

  It is claimed Ligue 1 side PSG have sacked Kombouare and have approached Benitez, who is available after being dismissed from Serie A club Inter last December.

  Benitez enjoyed success at Liverpool between 2004 and 2010, winning a Champions League in 2005 and an FA Cup in 2006.

  PSG are second in the French top flight after they ended their three-game winless run with a 3-2 victory over Auxerre on Sunday.

  Qatar Investment Authority took control of the Parisian club in May and have invested heavily, bringing in big names such as Javier Pastore and Jeremy Menez.

  Rafa is finally going back to work after spending all his compensation money...

  The French league should be a cakewalk for him, only one club with money the rest are normal type.

  He can't possibly blow this too right ? Cos it's almost too difficult to do that...

  the same was said when Inter won the treble, but he at least managed to win the world club cup for Inter lar, although it was a 6 months stint

  by the way did he also won the super cup for inter? cant remember the score though.

  He is not inheriting a lousy team since PSG is currently 2nd.

   

  Owners must be damn desperate to win the league title.

  Rafa is not stupid. Can't keep doing the same methods which don't work. Gut feel tells me that PSG is his career turnaround.
