Deal maker? Pato could be used as part of move to take Tevez to Italy
AC Milan plan to end the Carlos Tevez transfer saga by offering Alexandre Pato to Manchester City as part of a loan deal.
City have been unmoved by the Serie A giants attempts to take misfit striker Tevez on loan in January, but could be swayed by a deal involving Pato.
Brazil international Pato, 22, netted 14 times in 25 appearances for Milan last term but struggled with injuries and lost his place to Antonio Cassano towards the end of the campaign.
However, City boss Roberto Mancini could be more interested in a swap deal if Brazil defender Thiago Silva, 27, is the player switching to the Etihad stadium.
Silva is valued by Milan at £40million and they would prefer to keep him, according to the Daily Star.
