LIVERPOOL winger Stewart Downing has warned unbeaten league leaders Manchester City: ‘We’re coming to get you!’
The Anfield winger firmly believes the Reds are capable of inflicting a first Premier League defeat of the season on Roberto Mancini’s free-scoring side.
Downing said: “I think we should look forward to the game and say ‘Why can’t we be the first team to beat them?’
“We are at home at Anfield so I’m confidentwe can get a result. We have belief in our own ability and confidence is flying, especially the way we won at Chelsea.
“Inside the club we have the belief that we have a really good team but we have quietly gone about our business and got some good results.”
The England star added: “We made a big statement on Sunday by beating Chelsea.” -

Against skilled passing teams, brawn counts for little.
That's how Barca destroyed Man U in the previous CL finals.

The manager kicked a ball and asked the player to chase after it a few times.
Then the manager told the player that no matter how good you are, you can never be faster than the ball being passed or kicked around.
Something to that effect.

oh yes. u know why. its common sense that, passing the ball around is not as exhausting as chasing the ball, thats why.
football is a simple game really, passing. I dunno why the english cant pass as well as the europeans, as after all, they are professionals, playing the game all the time.
