  China beats Singapore 4-0 in World Cup qualifier

  SINGAPORE (AP) — China won 4-0 away to Singapore on Tuesday to keep alive its very faint hopes of progressing in 2014 World Cup qualifying.

  Despite the victory, China must rely on Iraq losing its two remaining games — away to Jordan later Tuesday then at home against already-eliminated Singapore — otherwise it is out.

  China dominated play from the beginning and broke through in the 42nd minute through striker Yu Hai.

  Singapore's best chance came when veteran striker Aleksandar Duric hit the crossbar in the 53rd minute. China quickly responded with captain Li Weifeng scoring with a header from a corner in the 56th minute.

  China played with just 10 players from the 67th minute after Huang Bowen was sent off for taking a swing at Singapore's Mustafic Fahrudin.

  However, China continued to control the game as defender Zheng Zheng finished the scoring with goals in the 73rd and 82nd minutes.

  4 years ago, we screwed lebanon upside down along with saudi and uzbek in our group during the 3rd round, and they ended up with zero points.

  Fast forward 4 years later, they are still relying on their measly 50k or so funding a year (I am not even sure what currency is that in), and they screwed south korea upside down and is now on the verge of making the 4th round. 

  Heck, Singapore is suppose to be in the "best" group, with opponents which we have beaten before (except China. But we draw with them a few times).

  Lebanon faces UAE, whom they have lost to five times and drawn three times in all previous encounters (no previous winning record), south korea, whom they lost to five times and drawn once (also no previous winning record), Kuwait, whom beaten them ten times previously. Yet, with their 50k a year, and despite being the lowest ranked team in the third round (even lower than Singapore), they manage to beat all three teams, and are now potentially going to pull off another greece fairytale (not that they will win the world cup. But reaching the world cup will probably be a fairy tale already) 

  What is the most satisfying thing about their 2-1 win over south korea? All their players are lebanon-born lebanese, with the majority playing in the lebanon league. 

  Now will be a good time to send Raddy packing home to Serbia, and have someone who truly knows how to groom local talent take over.

  Well, even their soccer selection is corrupted.

  You need to pay coffee money to have a chance to go for selections and make it into the first team. In the first team, who knows who you will have to pay money to in order to remain there.
