Ever since Singtel had stolen the popular English Premiership from Starhub, I had been tuning in to the German Bundesliga from the start of last season and I was masmerized by the standard and quality of this league! Terrific atmosphere, fast-paced action and physical football!
As good as the other teams might sound, nothing can be compared to the newly crowned German champions coached by the animated Jurgen Klopp. Under Klopp, Dortmund played a high-pressure, high tempo swashbuckling attacking football similar to Arsenal in the England. The average age of this team is only 24 and that makes their achievement even more extraordinary.. There were bigger teams like Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen which got steamrolled by this young 'German machine' last season. Dortmund's pre-season performances has been impressive and there is no reason why they cannot defend the title although the challenge will be tough due to the fierce competition posted by a wounded beast, Bayern Munich now coached by Jupp Heynckes.
I will also be looking forward to watching Dortmund causing the more established European teams all sorts of problems in the Champions League!
Over time, I grew into a fan of Borussia Dortmund for the expansive style of football they played and also their tenacity. After doing a check, I found out that the only existing German fan club is Bayern Munich and hence, I decided to set up a Borussia Dortmund local fan club on facebook.
The German Bundesliga needs more support and attention here in an English Premiership mad island of Singapore! Borussia Dortmund and German fans, we need your support!!!!

don't really watch but they are the team i root for in the german league
their stadium is amazing~
The Signal Iduna Park was voted the best stadium in Germany with the runners-up spot going to the Veltins Arena In Schalke and 3rd place went to the Allianz Arena in Munich!
To be very frank, I wouldn't even consider paying Starhub $5 or $8 to catch the German League... Even though the package may come with the Italian and Spanish league thrown in as well...
Thats all I can say about the German league... Cos I would even rather watch the Singapore XI vs the Malaysian state teams in the Malaysia cup next year than the German and Italian leagues...
The monotonous commentary combine with the quite boring football can really put me to sleep... Why pay $$$ when I can fall asleep for free? lol...
