  BLACKBURN stars have plucked up the courage to feature in a hilarious new advert for owners Venky's.

  .

  Rovers players like David Dunn, Ryan Nelson and Michel Salgado are seen gobbling down chicken in the clucking-mad clip.

  And their fowl acting has become an internet sensation with thousands of people watching the video on YouTube.

  It may look finger lickin' good to some, but to any Blackburn Rovers fan this must be serious fowl play! 

  Following Venky's take-over of the Ewood Park club in last November the India-based firm have made little impression on the marketing of the club, they certainly haven't over-egged it. Until now.

  The poultry firm have the company logo splashed across the new shirt and now they have enlisted the players to star in an advert for their products.

  The players are seen huddled together in the Rovers dressing room, before they move back to reveal several plates of chicken. You couldn't make it up.

  There follow some rather ham-fisted acting skills from captain Ryan Nelsen, Jason Roberts, Morten Gamst Pedersen and co.

  But you know what they say, you can't make an omelette without breaking some eggs. Take a look for yourself.
