Legendary Brazilian striker Ronaldo will return to play for Corinthians, according to the club's president Andres Sanchez.
"Ronaldo is going to play again. I don't know if he will play three, four or five games, but he will be back," Sanchez told Lance.
The 34-year-old could be back in the side within the next few weeks and Inter and Barcelona are reported to be lined up for two lucrative friendly games provisionally scheduled for May 25 and June 2.
Having made his mark on the pitch, Brazil's two-time World Cup winner Ronaldo will now star on the silver screen alongside some of Hollywood's leading lights.
The former Real Madrid and Inter Milan striker, who retired from professional football at the age of 34 last February after suffering chronic knee problems, will feature in Marcio Garcia's new film Open Road.
According to France Football, Ronaldo will have a small role in the movie and will play a bank robber. Shooting will begin in Los Angeles next month, when the footballer will rub shoulders with leading actors such as Juliette Lewis, Andy Garcia and fellow Brazilian Juliana Paes.
"I'll study the film seriously to do it well," Ronaldo said on Twitter.
The three-time FIFA World Player of the Year is not the first footballer to try his hand and acting, and follows in the footsteps of Eric Cantona and Vinnie Jones in trying to forge a career in film.
