  DEJAN STANKOVIC scored a stunner from the halfway line - but Inter Milan were routed in a Champions League shocker.

  Schalke keeper Manuel Neuer raced out of his area to head the ball clear, only for Stankovic to meet it with an incredible volley and hand the Italians the lead after just 25 SECONDS.

   

  But the wonder strike was overshadowed as the rampant Germans netted FIVE away goals against the holders. Joel Matip cancelled out Stankovic's early cracker and Edu did the same after Diego Milito had put Inter 2-1 ahead.

   

  After the break, Raul bagged his 70th Champions League strike, while Andrea Ranocchia's own goal made it 4-2 to Schalke.

   

  Inter defender Cristian Chivu then saw red for two bookings, before Edu added a fantastic fifth in the 75th minute.

  FIVE away goals.

  Even if Milan were to win 3-0 in the next game, Schalke will still go through anyway.

  Inter is defending with a pair of old men.

  Can't expect much from old central defenders.

  reminds me of sinisa mijhailovic who would hang a compact disc at the top corner of the goalpost and take aim from free kicks at the halfway line.

  2-5? All I can say theym lost that match on purpose and chose not to play properly.

  With that kind of results, They are going to have a hard time catching up.
