Nial Quinn warns both United and City to expect a huge asking price for Henderson
SUNDERLAND chairman Niall Quinn has warned Manchester’s Big Two it will take an “absolutely ridiculous” offer to sign Jordan Henderson.
The Black Cats are aware all the Premier League top guns, including United and City, are keen on the midfielder.
People Sport have already revealed that United are firmly in the driving seat because Henderson, 20, believes he would have more chance of a regular game at Old Trafford. And while Quinn and manager Steve Bruce want to keep the England new boy, rivals Newcastle have shown by the sale £35million of Andy Carroll that every player has their price.
Quinn said: ”Any offer would have to be something extraordinary – absolutely ridiculous – because he represents everything our academy is about.
“And even then, if Steve Bruce didn’t want it to happen, no-one would put an ounce of pressure on him.”
